Job Description

The Role

A split role: Carrying out the manufacture and assembly of our range of locally produced products - primarily rapid doors and, carrying out installs and servicing of all door products for cold storage, dairy & food processing, logistics & warehousing, retail & supermarket, architecture & trades and more.

Duties include:

  • Manufacture and assembly of door systems, particularly the electrical components
  • Building control boxes
  • Engage in continuous improvement and waste elimination (R&D)
  • Installation of all types of door systems
  • Servicing and maintenance
  • Completing call outs
  • Customer interaction
  • Admin and time management

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • You will be an Electrical Technician with a Full Electrical Qualification (required)
  • Programmer experience (PLC)
  • You will have fitter/welder/builder experience and/or a mechanical/engineering background
  • Fault finding ability - root cause identification 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Tidy and organised
  • Problem solver - will find solutions to challenges
  • Creative and can design solutions
  • Responsible - minimal supervision required
  • Work well in a team - humble and supportive of others
  • High energy, good pace
  • Strong communicator to represent the brand well
  • Positive attitude with a desire to succeed
  • An understanding of hydraulics would also be an advantage
  • Able to travel around NZ, at times working at our other branches including staying away
